Bernie Lodge
Vice President
Bernard (Bernie) Lodge is the Emergency Management Coordinator for Northern Water, a special district in Northern Colorado. Most of Mr. Lodge’s work consists of helping the eight counties within Northern Water’s district boundaries prepare for water-related emergencies such as drought, flood, or failure of infrastructure.
Mr. Lodge spent 21 years in the military. Seventeen of those years were spent in the United States Coast Guard responding to hurricanes, oil spills, and other water-borne disasters. He continued his emergency management career as the Deputy Director of Emergency Disaster Services for the Salvation Army’s Intermountain Division where he ran logistics, operations, and safety for Salvation Army mass care response for fire and humanitarian disasters in the western U.S. as well as assisting with Hurricanes Irma, Maria, and Harvey, on the Gulf Coast and U.S. Virgin Islands.
Mr. Lodge is a husband and father of two. When he is not working or spending time with his family, he helps run a nonprofit that provides Veterans with on-the-water therapy through fly fishing.
